Introducing herself as Angelique, she has on her site a warning that is befitting a true blog of human proportions, that states the blog “Raining Noodles” is not safe for kids and any other purpose for that matter. In her about page, she describes her world and how she has become one of the best bloggers according to some reviews with posts on all aspects of life in the small country she describes as a place where sex is the main past time, jokingly of course. The Island of Singapore used to be a colony of the mighty British Empire when command and conquer was still the norm of the day.
Having gained independence, her culture is a mix of Brit-savvy and Asian sophistication that has created a unique mix of cultures found no where else on earth. I mean there may be many other territories that may have been under British rule but Singapore is Singapore, the land where throwing gum wrappers on the streets may end you up with a hefty citation or jail-time. In her own words she accurately describes society from her end of the world as secular,multi-racial, multi-religion showing the complete diversity of the land that is so small that nobody would guess would become one of the best economies in Asia. Hard hit by the economic recession, like most of the many South Asian countries, they have lost much of their revenue from foreign businesses but gladly thanks to the future outlook of the country’s leaders, other means of income were developed and put into action.
As always, blogging is an effective way to release stress which was the purpose it was designed to do in the first place. The previously online web log has turned into something we have never imagined, serving any purpose we see fit, as we, along with Angelique continue to document our daily lives on the blogosphere, for eternity and beyond.
