Known far more than for the works of the Great Hans Christian Andersen, the Danes if you do not know is one of the very first environmentally conscious country in the world. The Danish environmental agency dates back to 1973, back in a time when nobody was seeing the importance of caring for the environment and environmental experts were called crack-pots. The site is where you go for all stuff Danish, from politics to overall news about their small country. Denmark is the smallest of the Scandinavian group of countries and is one of great legends that hails from the age of the Vikings. Life in Denmark is one of the balance between need and care they have for the environment. They have one of the biggest off-shore wind farms that generate green energy for the capital city of Copenhagen.
A land of contrast, it is considered to be one of the most peaceful and best places to live on this earth where you become part of society and caring for the environment is of utmost importance. From their Nordic roots, the Danes have been known worldwide for a lot of things such as the works of the immortal fairytale author Hans whose works delight children to this day and age. The land may be cold, being so close to the pole to which they have claimed territorial sovereignty over most of the frozen land. More than their cookies, the cuisine is impeccable and world known even the stomach churning fermented shark delicacy they age unsalted in frigid huts that tastes better than it smells.
