Get Rich Slowly: Because That’s Just the Way Things Are

These days, it really doesn’t matter what you want to know – whatever it is, you can find it on the Internet. If you would have told me ten years ago that I would be getting financial advice from someone I’d never met, for free, from an entertaining website, I would’ve had a hard time believing it. But the truth is, some of the best, most practical financial knowledge I’ve ever acquired came from a man who gives it out for free, from his very entertaining website. So, where do I go when I need to know where to go for the best interest rates, or how to best lower my credit card payments? I head on over to a finance blog called “Get Rich Slowly.” Here’s why . . .

Slow and steady. I’m a realist. I like the truth served as-is, without the idealism or flowery hype meant to pump me up over an idea that doesn’t really exist, and life experience has taught me that slow and steady wins the race. Get Rich Slowly is a blog based on how things really are – not how we wish they were. Sure, we’d all like to think we could just read some informative articles and turn our new found knowledge into quick cash (and a steady stream of it, too, right?) . . . but that’s just not how it works. I spent most of my twenties in financial denial. I just can’t afford to be anything but practical now, and Get Rich Slowly is the “personal finance blog that makes cents” because it is just that: practical.

Variety. Don’t expect to find a lot of boring candlestick charts and stock reports on Get Rich Slowly. Of course, you can find those basics on this blog, along with info on loans and other types of programs, but there is also so much more. Posts on Get Rich Slowly cover all the bases, including more obscure ideas like the psychology behind being financially successful, and the importance of taking care of your overall health (of which your financial well-being is only a smart part).

Guest bloggers. Mr. Roth features an abundance of qualified guest bloggers to share their knowledge and wisdom, providing a well-rounded approach to keeping readers economically informed.

Get Rich Slowly is listed on Time Magazine’s list of the Top Blogs of 2011, and for good reason. If you are in need of some solid, practical knowledge when it comes to money matters (and who isn’t?), then check out this great site today to start on your path to getting rich, slowly, and staying that way.
